PCM reflashing results?
I have a 2000 ZR2 I am looking into getting my PCM reflashed to possibly gain(in order of importance) #1 fuel economy and #2 horsepower. I have no other mods to engine, I just keep it tuned up and in good working order. I am looking for some responses from people how have gotten their PCM's reflashed. The kind of info i am looking for would be for example, what company you chose to do the flash, what exactly their service provides and the cost. Also please include your results and satisfaction level. I would be very thankful for any help on this subject.

Really?? Did you maybe search for "PCM+tune+companies"? From there you should have read about PCMforless & wait4meperformance which are the two companies that are mentioned most for the s-series. I'm not sure if BlackBearPerformance does the s-series, but I know the fullsize guys love them. You can search on each of those companies and read around.
If you are waiting for testimonials, you may be waiting for awhile. There are not a lot of people that are regulars here that have tunes. I have used PCMforless on my old '04 Rainier and I like what it accomplished. You should find my observations thread through the search feature as well. I had a hypertech programmer (picked it up cheap) on my old '00 Bravada and that did increase my mileage and all around performance slightly, but not staggering by any stretch. I was much happier with the PCMforless tune than the hypertech (I know different vehicles, etc).

I have a wait4me tune, city gas mileage jumped an astonishing 5-6mpg, I have yet to test it on the highway but I'd suspect over 22.. the performance jump you really do not feel. no power is really gained, however with the torque management gone and the 93 octane tune used it does feel a little more peppy (but this is from the torque management being reduced)
all in all for 163 dollars, the gas mileage increase and the transmission mods are definitely worth it.

I got mine tuned and my in town went from 15 to 17/18 and I would as I am a aggressive driver. highway stayed the same, but that's 75mph and a lead foot getting to it.
The best thing I like is what it did for the tranny, made it shift faster and harder and it wont sit down as easy when going up hill.
