Default question about freeing up extra air for my intake

I installed my spectre intake but I feel like it's not getting enough air it's crammed in the engine bay along with the heat shield .. is this normal ? can I make some open space for it to get some extra air?

What makes you think that it is not getting enough air?

i notice the difference when driving it now has a nice sound after 3000 rom i get pretty hard on it when driving and i feel an honest 6-7 horsepower gain.

at first i was skeptical of the intake since it was in a closed space with wires and a heat shield side of it but its good now i actually love the sound
