Default well..

i went to the drag way yesterday and saw 3 350 s10s and 1 350 blazer
which motivated me to do a 350 project
first of all, this might happen, im not for sure
secondly, what is easier to do, a first gen or second gen
thirdly, my dad has dont engine swaps many times, and is a good fabricator
how much do you think it would cost
i can get the engine from pull apart for 135
and i would rebuild it, put a mid sized cam in it
maybe find some 400 sbc heads
new intake, and a 650 carb
also, if i get one, how hard will it be to sort through the wires when pulling the stock motor
i think i might just make a box to wind them up in so if i ever wanted to switch back to efi/tbi i could
i have also hear that everything that contols the engine is on the oppisite side of the fuse box, and that i can take that out and everything will work as it did before the engine swap
how true is this statement? thanks,
stevo

i think 1st gens are easier but both are doable. Check out jags that run. They have a guide, headers, and motor mounts you will need. The kit is around 800 i think. No idea on the wiring part.

well i decided to save the trouble, and money, and buy a first gen s10 with a 350 already in it
theres loads of em for sell on craigslist
so what kinda of gas mileage should i expect?
it cant be too bad, considering the 350 is under barely any load with an s10 lol

easy fix. www.s10v8.com
tons of guys that know what they're doing there, plus a parts store for motor mounts, headers wiring etc.
