97 Blazer vacuum question
i am in need of some advice/ i have a 97 chevy S10 blazer and my check engine soon light is on took it to auto zone and they said it could be a air idle air control sensor or a idle air control valve or vacume lines. i changed the sensor and the valve i cant find the vacume hoses to check for a leak can some one please tell me were to locate the hoses so i can check them that would be great i dont know much about blazers or motors thanks brandon

He or she is probably talking about all of them. I don't know if a 97 is anything like a 95, but if you look somewhere on the top of the engine in the rear, there should be a hose about the diameter of your finger. From there it will go to the brake booster (large round thing to the right of the engine directly in front of the steering wheel). The vacuum line will also T off to an air canister that is located in the front under the battery or to a ball mounted under the hood above the brake booster. It can T from that to the transfer case where it is sent out to the front differential as well as a vacuum switch for 4wd. Besides the transfer case, it can go inside to the heat and AC controls.
I'm pretty sure those are the only things that can be vacuum operated. However I'm not 100% sure.
There is also the possibility that the intake has a leak in a gasket that can also create problems.
