I don't think that Eaton's E-Locker is made for the rears in our trucks (it is for the ZR2 8.5" rear), but that is an electrically actuated locker which I believe acts as a normal LSD when unlocked.
The G80 diff is a Gov-Loc. It has clutch packs that act as an LSD, then if one wheel gets moving faster than the other, a speed sensitive latch will lock both wheels together. However, this is known to be a weak design in terms of if you are really pushing things and get one wheel to just spin free, the action of that lever will happen when one wheel has great traction and the other is movin' at a pretty good clip. So yeah, it breaks.
