Pics of the ZR-2 and the car I'm trying to get for it.
Here is my reason for going FWD. I prefer FWD/4x4/AWD because in the winter RWD SUCKS. I know someone with a the IROC-Z camaro body type but his is a camaro RS, and when snow came he made it about 400 feet down the road from a parking lot. And the monte carlo ss is a really nice car. The only reason I'm trading my blazer is because the car will be getting 28 mpg, and it has the bulletproof 3800. He also has a sunroof, and bose speaker package.
Here are some pics of the other monte carlo that has a better chance of me trading my truck for because it's a person that owns this car not a dealer.

Let's be honest here, the 3800 is a great motor, but it isn't quick unless it's the S/C version. Even stock you would be lucky to get a GTP, Regal GS, or S/C Monte into even the high 14's with a decent driver.
I had a Regal GS as DD before I bought my first blazer. It was definitely quick until it shifted out of first gear and mine had a couple of mods done to it. I would never call it "fast" though. Hell, even my 2000 SS Camaro M6 put down 387 N/A to the tires and I still wouldn't call that fast. On the 100 shot things started to get fun though. It was a mid 12 second car on street tires N/A. Now my 2001 Z28 I am building a motor for, that will be FAST. Shooting for 600+ at the tires.
The Monte Carlos are definitely nice cars and the 3800 (like mentioned above) is a bullet proof motor. If gas mileage is a concern and you don't have a use for the Blazer OP, then getting rid of it sounds like a good idea and you are looking at some nice cars it appears.
Good luck.
I didn't know what 17mpg would actually be like! I didn't know that my max would be 300 miles per tank. I also didn't originally have to pay for gas, now I do.
