I worked in the same type of "area" as you, as in dealing with the IP's. Though, rather being BOG with them I worked at a bit of a higher level on the manning, training, supply side of things. On top of that, I also worked at the MOI working Force Protection. Everyone carried their nine plus a M16 or M4. I chose to carry a semi-auto 12ga instead. A bit more unknown and a heck of a lot more intimidating.

I don't know what order these will come up in but one is a pic of Baghdad from my "office" view on the 11th floor of the MOI that I had to climb up every day, one of the very actual pic of me in front of the t-walls in front of the MOI and one of the dash of my up armored Suburban showing my average MPG's running convoys through town and whatnot.

post a pic of your 12ga, if you have one (a pic i mean).

as for the mileage, i guess you make sure she's fueled up before every outting, 'cause i'm sure it would suck having to get out and make the locals push it back to base.

sorry, tasteless jk, i know.

Oh sh*t no wonder you didn't want to post pics until now. you're a sir....
Don't worry, there are less of you so guys like me can still fix the problems

j/k

Awesome shot from your office! By the river and everything! I wish i could line the MOI up in front of my IPs when we were getting a diesel rations of 75 litter per 5 weeks and let the IPs kick each and every bean counter in the nuts. WTF can you do on 75 liters?

As for the shotgun, what is that? benelli Super 90? That was my baby on the entry team I <3 the fact that they dont handle Less Lethal round well. Means no rubber EVER, buck slug buck slug baby!

And I know what you mean about the armored rides. We had an urban suburban for the tac team and all i can say is thanks for paying your taxes everyone! I enjoyed the ability to fuel up as needed

Nice final set of pics! Some really good ones in there Curtis. I love the sunset one. And AJ, I love that aerial view of Baghdad. Definitely some amazing pics.
Say, did either of you ever do a video compilation or anything of the pics? I know a lot of military guys do that...
And Curtis...as I mentioned somewhere before I have over 10,600 (yes, over 10 thousand) pics on my comp. Only a small portion of those are my truck. I have PLENTY of outside photography to share lol, I just never bothered to. I suppose I could make a photobucket album if anyone was interested.

Alex: drop a few neato ones our way. whatever floats your bot. i know you have one or two that you consider favorites. I'm interested.

As for the video thing, yeah whenever we come back someone that was computer savvy would put together a slide show of all of a platoon's compiled pics. Size wise a platoon is about 40 dudes bepending on their job. it's the last sazie that means anything to the average soldier as anything larger than that is made up of 140+ people...

i also have a few neato videos like smashing things with an ASV, firing a 12.5" rocket, falling off a C-130 hercules plane, etc....

ALSO i pulled the last two albums so there should be less bitching about personal picture content in a personal picture thread. i will confine any further picture posts to contests or further request

lol. don't let a noob get you down. As I told you, us regular members are here the most and we will decide what content to post . I really do think you should make an external album for all this though and just post a link up. I tried to show my buddy that pic of buddies insides hanging out last night but it had already gone .
I'll pick out a few random pics I have from the past few years. Nothing really that special. I would just go out and snap a few pics when I got bored.

yeah you know what they say, "Guts popped out one day, tucked back in and stiched up right the next." Or something like that. I will look into the aledged "photobucket" that supposedly stores photos..... like i said i fear new things (like change, BOO!) so i will probably drag my feet for a while...

still would like to see a few from your batch.

Also, AJBert, have you done CC time yet, or did you knock out a staff gig first?
