Tonights load accy. C3 hitch
Tonight I mounted up a C3 Hidden Hitch on my new to me 03 Blazer.
To install the two front rear bumper mount bolts had to be removed from both sides, to get the wrench in there the bolts that held the rear lower fender flap supports had to be removed and bent out of the way. Bolts were rusty and tight but not horrible. The factory bolts were just a tad bit smaller in diam than the bolts that came with the hitch so the new bolts would not go through the holes in the frame. I had to loosen the other bumper mount bolts a bit and shift it till the front holes lined up better and the new bolts would go through. 6 new bolts installed and tightened up, this is a heavy unit. Had to lower the spare tire down shift it forward a bit and crank it up so it would clear the hitch.
Next was the B-Dawg folding St. Bernard cargo.
Assembly was easy all steel, aluminum unit would have been lighter to wrestle into place. With the pull of a couple pins the unit can be installed onto the hitch closer to the bumper without the fold up mech, or as pictured with the fold up assy. installed.
The folded position.

Just off Ebay. To do it again I might look for an aluminum cage this 60" wide unit is a heft to load up.
