Default 03 blazer zr2 help please

My differential assembly on my 03 blazer zr2 busted and the bearings are bad so I took the front driveshaft out so I can drive it for now but since the differential assembly is busted its making a real bad grinding noise I was wondering if I can remove my front cv joint on drivers side and still be ok to drive the vehicle?
