Unhappy 1985 K-5 Blazer

What could cause the problem with my 4-wheel drive? My indicator light shows my 4 wheel drive is engaged but only 1 wheel is working. I do not have manual locking hubs. The truck has never let me down till this Winter when I needed it the most.

Do you have automatic locking hubs, or no locking hubs at all? Automatic hubs are notoriously unreliable. And what transfer case do you have? NP208?

All I know is I have a manual lever in the floor board and I do not have to get out and lock the hubs. So I suppose that I have automatic locking hubs. On the transfer case I am not sure of. I have been told by others that same thing that auto locking hubs break easily and many replace the autos with manual locking hubs.
Thanks for responding.

Tom would be correct. Gm auto locking hubs are prone to failure. I still have them on my k10 suburban but I have locked them so they are always in.
