I need a little info if anybody can help. On my 87 blazer the 4 wheel drive light stays on. The 4 wheel enganges in 4 lo and 4 hi and goes back with no problems, but when going back into 2wd the light will flicker and stay on. Any advice on what this might be? Thanks.

 

i believe, its been a while since i messed with a older 4x4 but the 4x4 light is actually engaged by a switch on the transfer case. since the truck is a little older that switch might be bad or clogged up with crap causing it to stick.

 

Just got back from a rainy and muddy trip so that might be the problem. Thanks again.
