Default New rear end gears and speedometer

Just had new axle and 373 gears put in my 96 blazer and speedo is off of course. Question is do you reprogram the computer or do you replace a sensor to show the correct speed?

Thanks

The VSS is the same part no matter that gearing. This has to be reprogrammed in the PCM.

What gears did you originally have installed? 4wd? Did you get the 3.73s out of a Bravada, ZR2, or? How much did you pay for the diff(s)? Did you swap them out yourself or pay a shop? How much did the shop charge you if you went that route?

They were 3.42's. The 3.73 posi came from a camaro and i had a good friend and fellow racer put them in at his shop so was not much at all to do it.
