1995 blazer 4x4 wont work
title says it all, the 4x4 did work 6 months ago and it just doesnt work anymore, the backlighting behind the 4x4 button panel went out but the 4x4 still worked and now it wont work at all
there is no mechanical noises like a broken part it just simply acts like its not engaging
any ideas guys?

forgot to add
about the same time the 4x4 quit so did the vents that are in the dash, the defroster comes on no matter if you have it set to vent or defrost, the vent hi-low speed works but just the defroster blows air

You have a problem with the vacuum switch on the transfer case. Most likely, the switch has gone bad and has let transmission fluid into the vacuum lines. You are in for some fun!!
Pull the fill plug on the back of the transfer case. If fluid pours out, you will need to remove the transfer case to replace the input seal which will give you better access to replace the vacuum switch and flush out the vacuum lines.

would the transmission act up if that were the problem? I have not noticed transmission slipping or low fluid which is why I ask
