Default 1998 4x4 Blazer Sticky Brake

Hey Blazer-addicts!

My first post. I'm new here. For some odd reason the brake on the front passenger side seem to intermittently stick. It only appears to happen when it's warm out (70 degrees or higher). The cool mornings and all winter I have no issues, however the minute it warms up outside (70 degrees or higher), It will start sticking after about 15 minutes of driving.

It's doesn't lock down to the point where the wheel locks up, however I can feel the truck starting to drag and I have press the gas pedal down quite a bit to keep moving forward. This has been going on since the end of summer last year and it happened again yesterday. When I get out of the truck and walk around to the passenger side, I can see smoke coming from the wheel and the rim is pretty hot.

I have already replaced the brake pads, rotor and caliper. Any ideas or anyone else had this issue? I'm at a lost. I read somewhere online that I should try and un-plug the ABS sensor, however I have no idea where that is or how to do it.

try replacing the drivers side brake hose. Yes,i said the drivers side. Might as well replace em both. When they wear they wear from inside out. they become more of a 1 way valve. Which can cause the truck to move left,or right when braking etc.

Ok, I'll try your suggestions guys. I appreciate the feedback. Let me mention one more thing that I failed to add in my original post. If I pull over and shut the truck off for about 10-15 min, and then start driving again....everything is fine for another 10 minutes or so.

In fact, today on my way home, I felt the passenger side brakes sticking. When I pulled in the drive way and turned the truck off. I can hear the brakes (or caliper) slowly releasing. Almost like a rusted opening sound. Are you still leaning towards changing the brake "hoses"? You do mean Brake Hose and Not Brake Lines correct?

Yes the black rubber hose that connects to your calipers. From what you just posted about it releasing as it sits, 99% positive thats it

Have you replaced the rubber flex lines that connect to the calipers? They deteriorate and collapse which will trap pressurized fluid in the caliper.
