2 inch body lift?

Question 2 inch body lift?

hey ive got a 96 jimmy and i wanna put a 2 inch body lift on it. will this screw up any linkage or anything?

It will not cause any problems if installed correctly. A 2" body lift is definitely the way to go... after that you can also slightly crank up the torsion bars to lift the front and level it out.

ok cool ya i already cranked my torsion bars and did a 1 1/2 inch shackl lift

Then you will really be happy with the true 2" of lift from a body lift. You can also gain more lift with taller tires as well.

ya im running un true 31s right now haha. what tires would u reccomend for it?

is a body lift hard to put in on a jimmy? cause the only body lift i have ever done was on a 1980 shevy 2500 and thats about as simple a it gets haha

31"s are as tall as you can get away with without rubbing at full lock while hitting a bump. I ran around on a set of borrowed 33"s for a few days and they banged the hell out of the rear of the front wheel wells.
In my opinion, a S-Blazer is easier than a body lift on a fullsixe pick-up. Less mounts to deal with.

ok is it easy to get to all the mounts and bolts?

Yes, once you get the bumpers off. Don't forget about the ones above the rear axle, alot of people overlook those and then can't figure out why the body won't separate from the frame. lol
It helps to read through the instructions a few times before starting any work. You may see or realize something that you otherwise wouldn't have thought of.
