Default 2000 Jimmy front axle seal leak

I have a slight leak at the lip seal of the front differential to the front driveshaft. I just purchased the truck so I dont know how much it really leaks. I wiped it clean the other day and there is just a very small "drip" at the seal location when I checked it again today. The "leak" never even amounts to a drip on the driveway so Im thinking that the leak is most likely nothing major. The 4x4 works beautifully with no noises or other problems. I have used the 4x4 on sand and it works great, I was very impressed with the capability. Is this a pretty common problem? Could the seal suddenly blow out, causing major damage to the front diff? Any info from somebody who has had a similar problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Tom

Default RE: 2000 Jimmy front axle seal leak

Also, just thought I should mention:
2000 Jimmy, 107k, autotrack 4wd (with the auto 4wd, 2hi, 4hi, 4lo options).

How can I check the fluid level? Any diagrams/instructions would be really helpful.

I will try to get a good pic of the seal and leak and post tomorrow.

thanks
