Default 2001 Blazer 4x4 banging sound

I'm glad to find this forum! I bought my blazer about a month ago. It has 196k miles on it. I put new shocks on it right away, and plan to buy new front axle shafts, hubs, tie rods, pitman arm, idler arm, and bearings tomorrow.
The problem is, every time I drive over gravel or rough road, I get a loud, repetitive, banging noise from the front right wheel. I have side to side movement of the wheel when off the ground, and the stabilizer bar links are worn out on both sides.
Would ball joints cause this?

I would say if you are replacing all of those items, you may as well do the ball joints too. Banging could also be from control arm bushings. I would add axle shaft seals to your list as well. I would hate to have to tear everything down again for a couple seals...

( and don't forget the alignment )
