Default 2002 Blazer 4wd auto

2002 Blazer auto trans. 4.3, 4dr. four buttons for transfer case 4wd auto, 2wd hi, 4wd hi, 4wd low.

What is the purpose of 4wd auto and when can/should it be used? I've had two other 4wd's and one was an older Toyota that had manual locks on the front differential, the other was full time 4wd with auto and locked, hi and low.

Your owners manual should detail the recommended conditions for Auto4wd use. If you do not have a copy of your owners manual, you can obtain a free electronic version through the MyGMLink.com service.
