I have a buddy with a '05 base Blazer. There's been a knocking coming from the drive line. Picked up a new U-joint.. turns out that the current ones are still good. I played with the drive shaft and the knocking sound seems to be coming out of the tail shaft on the transfer case. is there a common problem with these transfer cases? Also, what unit is in it? I searched and couldn't find an answer. His Blazer has the electronic shift. Is there a rebuild kit for it?
