My front seal is leaking pretty bad. I found a 2wd rear out of a 04 Extreme Blazer. Will it work on my 95 4x4. I wouldnt mine the rear disc brakes. Are they the same length.

No, the 2wd rear is narrower.

Why not just replace the seal?? Remove the driveshaft. Mark the position of the nut on the pinion and note the number of exposed threads. Remove the nut. Remove the pinion yoke. Remove the old seal. Install the new seal. Install the pinion yoke. Install the nut, tightening it down until the number of threads is correct and the alignment marks line up.

Duh. For some reason I always thought you had to take the rear apart to change the seal. Good thing we have this new fangled thing called the internet. Thanks Kyle.

For the axle seals, you have to remove the axles, but for the pinion seal, you just remove the yoke.
