My 2000 2wd 2 door blazer recently was totaled out from and accident. I own a 1998 s10 that is 4wd, it's pretty beat up but was a good deal.

Suspension on my blazer was much better and since I live in Florida I don't much need the 4wd.

Any thought on what I should do?

I bought the blazer back and have been slowly stripping it out and shelving the parts.

 

Completely different setups. Nothing really transfers over.

thats not really tru if ur willing to do the things to convert. its tricky but can be done, one big set back for people is the time and money. you have one of each(2wd and 4wd) same year set if u have the time and really would like the swap just cut and weld(its not as scary as believed). its very effective and rather cheap for you with plenty of spares. the most crucial thing is measure, measure, and measure.

on another note as far as frames go alone side bye side they have same widths the major differences is length, body mounts, and center crossmembers(motor, gas tanks)

 

The point is that it is far from worth the time and effort. This is especially true if you do not have the tools and/or experience required to make major structural modification to your vehicle.

Over simplification is dangerous.
