Default 4WD 99 Blazer Static 4" Drop NEED SHOCKS

Hey all, as I'm sure anyone who has tried to lower a 4wd blazer knows, it is not very easy or convenient. But after a lot of research and looking around, I've gotten everything I need. I'm currently riding on a 2" drop all the way around, with 2" blocks in the rear, and the front was lowered by removing the 4wd driveshaft. Now I plan on dropping it 2 more inches for a total of 4", and I am going to use torsion keys for the front, and 3" lowering leaf springs with 1" blocks for the rear. Now the only things left are the shocks, which have proven to be the hardest thing to find. A lot of brands like Nitro Drop Shocks and so on have drop shocks that will fit, but are for a 1-3" drop. Will an extra inch be too much of a stretch? I figured it may still work, as the stock shocks work perfectly with a 2" drop. If anyone knows of a specific shock that will work, or has done the same thing to their blazer using something else, please let me know! Thanks!!

Also, I will probably need to get smaller bumpstops or cut the factory ones, if anyone has any tips on doing that, feel free to chip in.

Just a reminder, my profile picture is of the blazer before any lowering.

I used the drop 2 shocks on my first gen that was dropped 5-6" and was happy with them. The rear shocks would bottom just before my axle would hit my 2.5" cnotch so im pretty sure the shocks have plenty of travel in them. I was sitting on the factory bumpstops in the front but it was a 2wd so im not 100% its the same.

Remember shock travel is one half of suspension travel. I believe 4wd has a reweldable shock mount and tower. Because of the 2:1 ratio, one inch reweld will change a 2" shock into a 4" shock.

I definitely dont agree with that, especially in the rear. It could be true for the front, but theres no way its true for the back.

^ agreed not 2:1 in the rear... and certainly not a constant ratio on either end... however, using an angle finder, a tape measure and some basic trig. You can calculate the difference in shock compression/extension vs linear suspension travel. Even if you're measurements aren't exact you should be in the ball park, definitely much closer than just guessing.

for example, when calculating for the rear of my truck i found that 5" of linear compression = 3.9" of shock compression, while 5" of linear extension = 4.3" of shock extension.... Hope that helps.

Before mine was lifted and all the po slammed it, they cut a hole in the crossmember and flipped the keys over

Thanks for the input guys, but KM346, can you give me a link or an idea on the formulas needed to find that? I'm pretty new to the suspension game, so anything helps. And also, with this lowering, my tires will be only about an inch or so below the outer fender, will drop shocks be stiffer? Because I kind of need the stiffest suspension I can get for this application.
