Default 4wd lights

After replacing the vacuum hoses and switches on my 91 S-10 blazer the front wheels are engaging, although a little rough but working. However the 4wd indicator lights are not. When I turn the it on there is no power to the lights. I did replace the switch where the actuator cable goes into the front differential and still nothing. One thing was that it would not tighten to where it was snug but kept turning. Is there any place else I can look to get the lights working.

Which type of transfer case engagement?

Electrical with switch on the dash or manual with lever on the floorboard?
