Default 4x4 Actuator

Hey,

I recently replaced my actuator (1 week ago) and today it broke. I am doing the bypass with the cable but I also want to know why it keeps busting? There must be some sort of a problem does anyone know what it is?

Thanks to mysons95 I have a how to I can go by. Thanks

I believe it has to do with the rubber seal(too thin?). Someone needs to come up with a revised design I would say.

Could be crappy aftermarket parts... The original actuators last quite a long time.

The issues we have with 4WD on these things is why vacuum-actuated 4WD is a thing of the past. It's all electronic/hydraulic, or fully manual, these days.

Glad to help out. It's a fun project and you feel like you are accomplishing something instead of just fixing something that's broken.

Now your 4WD will lock in and stay locked in.
