4x4 Issue Can't track down
Alright so heres my dilemma. I do not have 4 wheel drive and I have been troubleshooting for almost a year now. The actuator under the battery box is new, the switch on the t case is new, I have visually checked the vacuum lines and no leaks, I've checked the switch on the front diff and I made sure the cable was not broken. I'm probably missing something else but when I push 4wd, yes it’s an electronic 3 button, and it engages the t case. The half shaft locks but the front end won’t lock. Now I've taken it apart and pulled on the cable before and it locked just fine. I am almost leaning towards a cable and getting rid of the vacuum but I do not have the money right now and it would almost be silly seeing I’ve replaced so many vacuum parts.
Could someone please give me a few tips and point me in the right direction. Thank you guys.

just start bypassing stuff. run direct vacuum to the actuator to see if the switch is bad. or try manually squeezing the actuator to see if it locks the front axle to see if that is bad.
i got sick of mine going bad, i used to just manually pull mine and put a pair of vise grips on it

you dont have $25 bucks and a free saturday? If you DO go that route, you can always ebay off the electronic/vacuum stuff you no longer need. recoup some of the losses.
