ok long story short.driving in rain storm to work.service 4x4 light comes on.i check all the problem areas.nothing so far.i look under car,i found 5 wires were rubbed apart going to tranny/transfercase by the front drive shaft.so i fix all the wires the right way.i go to pull car out of the garage and 4x4 service light is off now.but the amber lights on the switch are still out..i checked the tccm and found some corrosion on some of the pins.i cleaned them the best i could and put some dielectric grease in there.still no 4x4..anybody know whats up now?!?thanks for any info....

i double checked all the fuses.still nothing.

 

i figured it out.i took off the tccm and the panel it grounds to.i found some rust,so i cleaned all the rust off and put it back together.go to check and lights are on and 4x4 works..
