Default 4x4 shifting question

I just got a 97 blazer this weekend. It has a 3 inch body lift. I was messing with the 4wd and I couldn't get it to shift back into 2wd. It has the floor shift. I went underneath and put it back into 2wd by hand. I went to hook the cable back up on the linkage arm on the t-case and the cable is too short. Is there an extension that was suppose to be installed? Thanks

There should be an extension attached. Do you know what company made the body lift?

Thanks for the reply. I do not know who makes this body lift kit. The cable is about 2-3 inches too short
