Default 4x4 works fine but...

When i put my 97 blazer into four wheel drive you would think it was ok, it has the power and the lights and everything comes on correctly, but when i go to test it out the front tires will not engage. I can tell the transfer case has kicked in but can not get any movement to front tires. any anwsers, thank you.

I have tested it by power braking it on the pavement and by getting stuck on wet grass, lol. I have the power of 4lo but dont have the front tire movement

I don't think it'l engage 4Hi or 4Lo while the tires are off the ground. You'd have to set it to say 4Hi then put it up and try it.
Check for vacuum at the front drive axle clutch solenoid. It's on the left hand side of the engine bay, somewhere around 6-7 inches from the bottom of the left wiper arm, you will see a handful of air lines going into a couple T's. Take the one that goes down under the motor off and feel the hole where you took it out of (the one thats connected to the engine) and see if you have vacuum. If you've got no vacuum, chances are you've got a vacuum leak causing the front drive axle not to engage.
