Default '93 Full size Blazer

I recently bought a '93 fullsize blazer and the front end was extremely loose. So, I changed the entire front steering assy. ( idler , tierods, pitman, shocks all the way around )and had it aligned .Now the front end is nice and tight, But at highway speeds the whole truck wobbles and sways when you hit bumps. Some times its so bad you must slow down to bring vehicle back under control. I also installed A rear sway bar to see if that would help . But, it seemed to have no affect. I know these vehicles are top heavy, but, this seems to be way to much for there not to be some other problem. I am a long time Chevy truck driver and none of my pickups of the same vintage have ever done this. Does anyone have the same problem or know of A fix, I am very mechanical. my next step is ball joints and A- arm bushings, But, I would think that there would be some play or noise if these where bad! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How large are the tires? This sounds like the infamous death wobble that plagues so many SFA K5's. I did not think it affected the IFS K5's...

The problem is in your steering. Was there any slop in the steering gear box? How are the ball joints?

The tires are stock ; 265/75/r16 on stock Chevy alloy rims. The ball joints seem fine, there is no play if you grab the tire and try to move it from the top and bottom. I am probably going to replace these and the A-arm bushings if I can't fine any other issues. the steering box also seems fine. I appreciate the reply. I will keep after it. Thanks!

Could one or more bad shocks cause this. If it's happening after bumps...

Shocks can definitely cause this.

I put brand new Rancho RS 5000's all the way around. It had the factory Bilstiens that really didn't seem worn out. So , I am going to put those on my '94 k1500 short bed. I am also going to drive a '95 fullsize Blazer to see if it drives any different. Thanks1
