98 Blazer 4WD issues....
I've read countless threads but nothing I find really pertains to me.
Here's my problem.
I can shift into (4HI) or (4LO) from (2HI) no problem. But when I go to switch back into (2HI) the light on the (2HI) button blinks. Then I can hear what sounds like a relay noise coming from the transfer case control module. Then I can hear the encoder motor trying to change positions as well. Then If I keep pressing the (2HI) button it will eventually freeze in (4HI). Then about 5 - 15 minutes later it will go back in (2HI).
Does anyone have any ideas, or have run into this problem before?
Thanks!

I got a DTC 01 from the (TCCM). I found corrosion at the grey/black wire at the (TCCM)position 1 on the connector. I replaced the wire terminal connector. I am now checking for voltage and resistance at the (TCCM) connector.
I also checked the battery voltage at encoder motor and they all read 5V.

UPDATE!
I went to friends shop and we hooked up his scan tool. He said that he was unable to communicate with the (TCCM). There was still some corrosion on the male connector pins that I was unable to clean off. So I'm guessing there might have been a internal fault with the (TCCM). I found another (TCCM) and installed and still same problem. Only thing left is the Encoder Motor. Replaced and problem solved.
Thanks Kyle for your link!
