Default 99 Chevy S-10 possible vacuum switch

Just replaced the battery on it hoping that it would resolve the problem but it was a fail, the other day my battery light came on, the fuel gauge stopped working, and the 4WD lights are not working anymore, along with the selector light on the dash. From what I have been reading it could be the vacuum switch on the transfer case, or any other suggestions, also replaced the 4WD fuse and light came on when started but only for a split second before shutting off?
