Default 99 Envoy needs new shocks for light towing

My 1999 Envoy has the auto leveling factory shocks and they need to be replaced. How do I disable the compressor and is there anything else that needs to be addressed when bi-passing the auto system.
What type of rear shocks do you recommend for towing a small aluminum fishing boat. I will probably not be using the autoleveling shock system anymore. Thanks

Huntfish.....im glad there is another Envoy owner here..and welcome aboard
I encountered the same problem...what I did was buy a set of shocks
For a jimmy or blazer same vehichle...and pulled the fuse
From the box under the hood....then removed shocks and wire tied
The compressor hoses up out of the way and also disconnected
The auto leveling bracket attached to the rear axle housing..
And all is good..
