Hey guys, a friend of mine has an 89 s10 with the manual 4x4 & is gunna be gutting all out. So Im gunna buy all the transfer & linkages & anything else I need to do the swap. But I do have a couple questions.
1. Does any body know which tcase it is or a site with good info so I can find out?
2. If I pull the tccm fuse will I have any problems with anything else in the truck?
3. He also has a trans w/ 800 miles on the rebuild in the same truck which I'm guessing is proably a 700r4, would this work in my truck? Also would it be a bigger pain then blessing?

1. NP 231C, or were you asking something else?

3. Stick with your transmission. There's a lot of electrical with it that the older ones don't have that would be a pain to make work.

 

Yea I was just wondering if they only put one type in that year or of they had acouple diff type so I could read up on what I'm getting. & thanks

 

so I was reading threw some threads on s10forum & came accross one that talks about running a wire so the ecm knows when its in 4low to shift right. & my question is since my bravada never had 4low do I need to worry about running this wire/ if I don't will I have any sorta problems? & If I do need to swap it could I just pull the ecm out of a jimmy or blazer that had 4Low & swap it w/ the one I have in now?
