bad shock mount

Default bad shock mount

hey all. i have a serious problem. the mount for the rear shocks..the upper part thats built in the frame is getting rusty badly. serious enuff that if something doesnt get done it would break and the shock would bust through. any suggestions on what to do? the truck is in really good shape other then that one problem. id hate to give up on it it has alot of years left in her.

What are you workin' with? How have you determined the structural integrity of the mount?

Shock mounts don't typically rust to the point of failure without other aspects of the vehicle being much worse. Surface rust shouldn't be a problem at all.

Please take a picture of the problem area to help us out.
