You have the 7.625" rear axle. If you are on a budget, I would recommend purchasing a used rear axle from a local junkyard and installing that. It is much cheaper and easier than trying to setup new gears. Especially if you have never done it before and do not have the specialized tooling necessary to properly set the lash & patterns. You can use a rear axle out of pretty much any 98+ 4wd s-series vehicles provided they are 7.625" rear axles for a direct swap.

As far as ratio goes, take a look at the glove box for your RPO codes or count the teeth on the ring & pinion. The gear ratio will be the # of ring gear teeth divided by the # of pinion gear teeth.

41/12 is 3.42 which is one of the available gear ratios for your year. 40/12 is 3.33 which is not an available stock gear ratio. If you have 3.42 gears, you should also have GU6 on the RPO code list.

Well I run into yet another problem, The Left rear wheel parking break is making it impossible to pull drum off, it a combo Disc/parking break style. the rotor just will not pull off and I'm affraid of wacking it as that may damage it. Any thoughts of getting it off. Thank you!
