Default bldg a 46 on a 87 S-10 Frame-- Need rearend help

I'm building a 46 Chev 1/2 ton pickup on a 87 S-10 Frame with a SBC 350 (5.7) tied to a TH350 Auto trans. I want to replace the 87 rearend with a later model Blazer with disks. A stronger rearend than the 87 S-10 that I now have.

So---- What year rear end am I looking for. How can I identify the correct rear end in a junk yard. What year Camaro would work?

Just get anything with a limited slip rear end and you will be fine!! Question for you though if your building that truck from frame up why not build your own frame?? Just a Question ??

The S-10 Frame is a natural for this swap. It has the right wheel space, width, lenght and engine mounting. It has a modern suspension. The front does not have to be changed. Normally the rear end is sufficient, but not with the high output engine that i am using. So it's cheaper to use the S-10 frames and save a lot of time.

Ok sounds reasonable then, one suggestion is to make sure you box the whole frame for extra support and strength!!
