Body Roll
I know these trucks are heavy, but almost all first gens i see driving around corners are body rolling really bad, mine included. are all of their shocks worn and whatnot or is this condition normal?

RE: Body Roll
Could possibly be due to a lack of a rear sway bar on the 1st gens or an improperly sized front sway bar that most of them came with. Shocks really have very little to do with body roll.

Yea I believe its undersized sway bars in the front and not having one in the rear!! I wonder if the front sway bar outta my blaze would be able to be used in a first gen?? Because I don't have mine in because of my airride in the front now!! I will be taking out my rear sway bar when I four link and bag the rear too!!

hmm the way that bar is i really dont see how that would help.

RE: Body Roll
What do you mean? It is fixed to the axle with the arms extending back with the links going up to the frame. It is just reversed from the way a front sway bar is arranged, but still works just the same. Any increase in suspension travel on one side will translate over to the other side thus limiting roll.

RE: Body Roll
ooo ok i just thought it had to be attached to the top of the springs/shocks like in some cars

RE: Body Roll
I didnt even look under the truck to see if it had a rear bar. Kinda seems like a mistake on Chevrolet's part, with a 5k pound truck just swaying all over the road.
