harsh ride
Just bought a 2003 Blazer with 87k miles. While it's nice in bad wheather, the ride is harsh. If you hit a bump it sometimes feels like the impact is coming right through the car. Tires are Dunlop AT, I think the wrong size- 75R instead of 70? I checked the tire pressure. Lower ball joints and sway bar bushings were done before I bought it. Just changed the door pins in front. Would different tires help? or shocks? How can you tell if the shocks are bad? I welcome any ideas.
were the torsion bars cranked in it? it is a very very popular mod so it is possible.. does the truck ride level or is the front lower than the rear?
Try this..
measure the distance from the center of the front wheel to the top of the fender. Should be around 20 inches.. if it is higher than the torsion bars have been adjusted and this would cause a stiff ride.. also would cause the replacement of ball joints, etc....
measure this:

mine measures 19.5 because of the added weight of my brush guard..
