Default Broken sway bar fitting

Just replaced all my control arms with the MOOG R series arms. Its only been 6 months and already my left control arm tab for the sway bar is broken off. Is this a common problem or is the R series just junk.

Yeah a bummer. I started hearing a popping sound about a month ago and found this. I am debating welding it back on or replacing the control arm again.

I read this same issue yesterday in Amazon review ....
I was about to order these from rock auto, now seeing this re-thinking Moog product for lower.

I have a 99. I might try and have it welded back on and see if they can beef it up a bit.

I was thinking about welding a additional bracket support before I put them on but now looking at a arm that has greaseable bushings and ball joint. and still may have bracket welded as extra support just in case....guess I am thinking Tim The Tool Man Taylor...more power.....Lol

Old thread but just an update. The same control arm sway bar tab broke off again, looks like time to change the control arm again. I looked up the reviews of the control arm on Amazon and others hare having the same problem, cheap parts from China.

I am dealing with this right now, new about the issues with moog parts (ZR2 lower control arm) so I ordered AC Delco from rock auto. Guess what.....Moog parts in an AC Delco box. Got 1 Delco arm and 1 moog arm in a delco box. Rock auto is going to send me an AC Delco arm as a replacement. The other problem is the Delco arms also have the sway bar bracket in the wrong place. I am working with Rock auto on this issue. My solution is to cut the brackets off my old control arms and weld them to the new ones. Rock Auto has offered to reimburse the cost of "repairing the defective part" but we haven't yet agreed on the cost or what will happen to the warranty. Sorry to hijack this thread but it looked like a good place.
