Well I do have a shop press and air tools... But Geez... Since I wish I had known about just replacing the whole control arms and Ball joints at once... Since I just had all new Ball joints installed in guess I'll just get the bushings and do it. I think I've spent $1200 already on the front end... I should have just put a solid axle with leaf springs up front and been done with it all... Cheaper, stronger, less maintenance, and the leaves would give me a hell of a better ride than these torsion bars. I really wish I could improve the handling of this boat. Oh, and it's a 91 S10 Tahoe blazer.

These things go through idler arms, fuel pumps, and gas lol. Be glad you dont have cpi or else you'd end up spending
$300 more on a spider kit. You have the tbi unit? Google "ultimate tbi mod". Its free. Im just thinking of ideas of improving your blazer and making that $1200 investment easier on the soul.

I wasn't able to find much on the ultimate tbi mods. Could you give me a quick run down of it?
Looked smoothing out some edges was the main thing, along with raising the injectors pods. I think I'm getting about 17-18mpg highway right now, with 30x9.50 tires and 3.42 gears. And my blazer is running lean, it's idling about 500rpm warmed up I'd say at idle, and has lean misfires like crazy. And the exhaust stinks horribly, not a rich sweet smell, it's a bad, running way lean odor... Runs fine under acceleration though. I'm thinking it's either the IAC or the temperature sender for the computer?

Mine smells the same, been that way for a LONG time. my plugs are clean so ive just ignored it. Pull a plug and look at em. see if its fouled. For the tbi mods, grind the edges down and stick a quarter in the regulator. (between the spring and diaphragm). it'll bump pressure up a psi or 2. enough to notice it. also,if possible get rid of the ring neck as it can smother it down too. you'll have to buy a different air housing though if you go that route.

You can change the temp sensor if you want. its often overlooked and plays a big roll in fuel management plus its only like $12 bucks for a new one. Make sure you change the one beside the thermostat housing, not the one in the block. the block one is only for the gauge.

edit : oh yea. Buy a rebuild kit for the tbi. i rebuilt mine a few weeks ago and ive never seen it run so smooth.

My exhaust smells like an old car, but it does not have a cat, I love it.
