Creaking sounds from underneath and in the rear of my 2001 Blazer LS

Just started making creaking sounds. Thought maybe the spare tire was loose. Is not. I am not a mechanic. Any thoughts so I can look and learn what might be the problem?

sounds like you busted your rear end but where is the sound coming from?

Yes. The Blazer is driveable. It sounds like something underneath needs to be cushioned b/c it makes the creaking/rubbing sounds the whole time I'm driving. I can isolate it only to the rear of the Blazer and coming from underneath.

I found out it is a broken spring shackle.
