It's not quite clear. Are you trying to remove the axle or install it?

Put a very large screwdriver on the edge of the black collar - use a 3 pound sledge and drive it straight out. Should be able to get an angle on it. I just did this on my lift project.

Man I’ve done it to a million cars and I actually broke my inner axle on passenger side trying to get my original 3.42 front diff out. Cv shaft would not come out to save my life.

I use a pry bar as it has the cap on the to hit with hammer but once you get it moving it will keep moving.

Have you removed the other end from the hub? If not I would recommend it.

I've used a short piece of 2x4 with a large hammer. I could see also applying pressure by a pry-bar while also wacking it with a hammer.
