Default RE: do both tires spin??

no thats normal considering you have an open open differential gearing in there if you floor it around a left hand turn your left wheel will spin to get both tires to spin you would need a locker

Are you saying that when you get it to spin, that only one tire spins (peg-leg burn-out)? Then yeah, you've got an open differential in the rear. If you had a limited slip, then you would spin them both.

I assume that we're talking about a 4x4 here, but what year? Also, you can identify the options on your vehicle by decoding the RPO list. On my 2000 Bravada, the RPO list is in the glove box. Also for my Bravada, G80 is the RPO code for posi-traction rear diff.

When in 4wd, you shouldn't have a problem with only 1 or 2 wheels spinning, unless you are in some serious traction trouble (ie. 2 tires w/ high traction and 2 tires with no traction).

Good Luck
