Default Drive shaft question

Will the drive shaft out of a 1998 blazer 2 wheel drive fit in a 1996 chevy blazer 4x4 4.3. I talking about the one that goes to the rear end. I bent mine today trying to remove my u joints. And i can get this one for $30 bucks compared to a $100. I just want to make certain it will fit before i drive 30 miles to go look at it.

Well, i drove today to look at it. Turns out that the 2 wheel drive is alot longer than the 4x4 driveshaft. looks like im going to have to buy the $100 one.

As you found out, the 2wd shaft is longer. Also, a 4dr rear shaft is longer than a 2dr rear shaft. The front shafts are the same length, but there are different shafts depending on which transfer case you have.

Thanks. i will remember that in case i need to know again. I got lucky today, i called a junk yard about 30 miles away and they just asked my what code was on my drive shaft, and luckily they had it for $50. So i wasnt out of too much money for my lesson learned.
