Default Eaton truetrac

I recently had an Eaton Truetrac installed. I noticed that when 1 wheel is in full slip on one side it would not engage the LSD. I called the factory and they said I had to apply light pressure on the brakes, hydraulic or e-brake, so that the device would sense some traction and then engage. Well this seemed a little cumbersome but it worked. I then experienced wheel slip in reverse but no matter what I did I could not get it to engage. I am still waiting on an answer from Eaton. Anyone have this experience or can give me some insights to this differential?

Thanks...
