Default Flaming River Mod Joint??? Help Please

Hello, i found the write up on the flaming river mod joint replacement and i purchased the same kit and im having a problem. I cant get my joint started on my steering gear. I work as a mechanic at a dealership and had about 5 other guys with me and spent over 2 hours trying to get this thing started but it just same like its slightly too small. Ive looked up replacement steering boxes for my 03 blazer xtreme and it says my steering gear should be 32 splines on the gear and not 30. Do you have any advice for me because im so tired of the play in my steering. Thanks
