do we have a front axle on the 99 blazers called a 7.2 I.F.S and if we dont what is our front 4x4 assmbley called and wht gears do we have up front?

 

It is an AAM 725 IFS. It is a 7.25" diameter ring gear.

Your current gears will be the same as the rear end ratio as specified on your RPO sticker in the glove box.

Thanks. I want to put new lower gears in my blazer but i was wondering sence i have 4 wheel drive do i also have to put lower matching gears in my front end? Or if i do put them in will it mess up something if i dont have them matching front and back?

 

If you ever want to use the 4wd again, you have to have matching ratios in both the front and rear diffs.
