Default Front Axle swap; what years are compatable

I have a 98 S10 blazer 4x4 and want to just change both axles/differentials with a junked blazers of a better year. Does anyone know the years that are compatible with mine? And does anyone have a suggestion on a good deal for a 2inch suspension lift and where to find it? I figure there has to be a deal out there somewhere.

Any 96+ front axle with the same gear ratio as your rear axle should work except AWD front axles as these are engaged all of the time. I would not consider any of them to be an upgrade unless you can find an iron front diff.
