Default front axle swap

I was wondering which axle is cheapest and easiest to install.

id say probably a 10 bolt or dana 44 out of a fullsize, they are very pleantiful and most people just throw them out. mine and my spare i got for free. alot of the full size guys upgrade to the dana 60 so they throw these out. they are wide axles and will stick out past the fenders but im running them and love it

Dana 30 out of a jeep yj wrangler. Same width and drop so you can keep the s-series t-case and save some cash. Later on when you decide to get a strong rear axle a ford exporer 8.8 uses the same wheel bolt pattern as jeep.

If you try to use chevy axles you have to change the t-case to pass drop (not cheaper).

XJ or YJ jeep front and rear. explorer 8.8 rear is a popular one too.

dana 30s kinda fall under the same category as 10 bolts alot of jeep guys get rid of them when they upgrade. ive always heard scout axles are the perfect ones to use if you can find them

Scout axles work great but ya gotta rotate the Cs. Zero degree caster doesn't work well at speed.
