Default Front Differential Cable Lock Kit

Just got one in the mail today. Can't wait to put it on and get rid of that POS vacuum actuator. At least with it I'll know it's in 4 wheel drive. Right now I'm afraid if I take it out of 4 wheel drive I won't be able to get it back in.

i dont blame you. the older s10s actually had that actuator on the wheel well i used to just manually pull it and put a pair of vise grips on it,

Yeah, those vacuum setups were a pretty poor design. I put together a manual cable setup, as well. Much more reliable!

You're not driving around on asphalt or anything like that in 4WD are you?

Only when it's covered in snow. Luckily when I drove it two weeks ago to work the roads were covered in snow so I just left it in four wheel drive. Yesterday DOT did a better job so I could actually put it in two wheel drive when I got to a major road.
